The secret life of venus...

Kellie of Paper Cat Designs
Has a wonderful workshop - The secret life of Venus...
A muse's guide to finding personal magic through self empowerment.
Starts the day of the new moon. (Feb 24th)
The New Moon The Moon is waxing and growing.
This marks the phase of the moon when the light is not visible from Earth, because the side of the moon that is being lit by the sun is not facing us.
This should be a time to plan or introduce new beginnings and projects. A new career, house move, job, relationship, any new venture in life.
Self empowerment is the key to unlocking the personal magic we all have within us. There is absolutely nothing we can not be, or do or have. We need only focus our undivided attention upon it in order for it to come forth and become our reality .
we will release resistance, toss away doubt, learn how to choose our thoughts, let our feelings be our guide and reconnect to the most joyful and loving part of ourselves.
(above - 1525 Tizian - Venus Anadyomene)

Venus was a major Roman goddess principally associated with love, beauty and fertility, the equivalent of the Greek goddess Aphrodite

Her cult began in Ardea and Lavinium, Latium. On August 15, 293 BC, her oldest-known temple was dedicated, and August 18 became a festival called the Vinalia Rustica.

Venus has been compared to other goddesses of love, Tlahuizcalpantecuhtli in Aztec mythology, Kukulcan in Maya mythology, Frigg and Freyja in the Norse mythos, and Ushas in Vedic religion.
