Faery slippers...adoption required...

Faeries slippers
share a secret
by Andrea
Look at these wonderful creations....Andrea assures me the fae have given their permission for the secret to be shared...
For a while now Andrea has been contacted by some that live amongst us, to repair their shoes.
We are talking sizes here that cannot be bought easily in the stores.
Andrea does her best to repair these shoes, even though they are sometimes really worn out.
.
Then after lots of loving labor some of them do not get picked up by the owners, for several different reasons.
Now there is a whole collection of these shoes and they are up for adoption.
Andrea has done her best to contact the owners and most of them let her know they did not want them back and that she could keep them.
There is one big problem. well actually there are two problems.
The first one is...Andrea does not fit these shoes even if she were to cut of her toes.
Second, they are singles...and who wants to wear a different shoe on each foot?
These are the reasons that Andrea has decided to share them with you.
Andrea is open to offers for a swap -
beautiful faery slippers...
ooak!
Please visit :
Lucky me Andrea had a little word with her fae and they said I could swap their

Oberon & A'ine...

A pictorial storybook in progress...Idle hands keep busy

Brendon and Alice
(Oberon and A'ine)

You are the one thing I am fighting to hold...
how long before you let me go?

The faery King..
noble lord
by descent from royal lynage
of ancient kings and queens...
What is your name?
your dark eyes...
he is my mystery...

Secrets kept hidden...
now hers to know...

unfinished written story pages..

The legende of the faerie queene...
far away for far to long...

Glorious queene of faerie lond...
the queene...did hide vnder a vele...
out of memory and time...

passing to and fro....

Her pure innocence...
and all of his charms
this time, this place...

I will stay for thee...
but I dont know where I am
and;
I dont trust who I've been....
If I come home how will I ever leave...
I can no longer leave...
My heart is beating faster....

Fairy tale hour...
rooted in myth, mysteries and belief in magic...
Brief:
A story about the fae....no title as yet, it will come to me :)
An ancient tale of darkness and light...

Midnight...the hour that both worlds entwine upon each others edge...
Like knarled overlapping branches of an ancient tree...its knowledge, its magic, both hidden...
A step...just one small step could lead you into another realm...
Some sections from the story pages:

As Alice was about to expose the lettering of the book the shops doorbell rang.
Alice took a deep breath, sighed and patted the book..'I will be seeing you again soon'.

Upon approaching the shop door she saw a tall, slender, rather pale looking young man in dark clothing staring in.
He was not someone she had seen before.
Alice smiled politely as she opened the door,'I am sorry ...we are closed'
The young mans dark eyes penetrated hers ...
'Mr. Hampton ?' His voice soft, confident .

'I am sorry... Mr. Hampton passed away..... four months ago now......can I help you?'
The young mans jaw tensed, an intense frown came upon his face, not one word passed his lips...
Alice asked if he wanted to come in.
With a slight nod of his head the young man entered and promptly sat down beside the counter.
His counternance expressed that he had been in the shop before.....for a moment there was an awkward silence.

-----------------------------

Alice held the ornately decorated key ...it too was fluid in shape, almost like little leaves....beautiful she whispered. The lock on the book matched the elaborate pattern of its key.....upon closer inspection she realised the key and lock were made of silver although now tainted.
She now understood why this beautiful book was held in such high esteem by its owner.
------------------------------

The following page was full of symbols except one sentence scribbled in ink, and to her amazement written in English :

- In 1853 the Ossianic Society was founded by Mr. Hammond - to preserve and collect all literature and poems regarding the the land of :
Tír na mBuadha - the land of Virtues ...

Alice smiled, Mr.Hammond was a protector of lore, ancient mythology, of what seems to be the faery....that explains why the young man placed it in his care.
How odd it was tucked away and left to dust.

notes from Mr.Hammonds journal of encounter:

Biddy Early knew the name of any person coming to see her and also the reason for their visit, she would only treat them if they had decided to consult her first and not a doctor or priest. Sometimes after examining a person if she deemed the reason for the ailment was not due to fairy enchantments she refused to treat them instead directing them to go to a traditional doctor.

Then of course there is myself, encountering two now.

-----------------------------------
A'ine:
Áine was a goddess of the Celtic peoples and later in christian times she became known as a fairy queen.
Among herbalists and folk-healers Áine was understood to be responsible for the vital spark of life which they understood traversed the entire body every twenty-four hours.
Her name means 'Delight, Pleasure, Agility and Melody'. She is often deemed to be a more approachable version of the Goddess Anu.
In the time of the Tuatha Dé Danann she helped the family of Eoghanacht take over the hill at Knockainy ever afterwards known as Áine's hill and she resided in the eastern part of the sidhe or fairy mound.
Like all the people of the Sidhe, she was kind and helpful to those that respected and venerated her but she exacted revenge on any that displeased or harmed her.
Oberon:
Oberon, also Auberon, King of Shadows and Fairies, is best known as a character in William Shakespeare's play, A Midsummer Night's Dream
He is the consort of the Queen of the Fairies.
Oberon's status as king of the elves comes from the character of Alberich (from Old High German alb- "elf" and -rîh-, "ruler", "king"),
a sorcerer in the legendary history of the Merovingian dynasty.

A pictorial story books humble beginnings.

Fairy tale hour...

A pictorial coffee table book in progress for personal pleasure :0)

I thought rather than an altered book
I would attempt altered pages and place them all together with rings once complete.

In time, I will add my own sketches,
and develop the visuals for characters.

Story ideas have been bopping around my head for years and
this is a perfect way of playing with them in an easy visual way.

You are the one thing I am fighting to hold..

How long before you let me go?

A faery king?

A noble lord of ancient kings and queens?

What is your name?

You with dark eyes.

He is my mystery...

An envelope to go into a page and little extras...
Creating a book of visual play...

Getting started on the typing.
Great fun!
