Round One TDP doll ....

This project is a collaboration of artists, all working individually on a group doll.
Team 'Chic Chicks' of Europe

This year there is: a European team,
a Canadian team, an Australian team,
and six American teams for a total of 9 teams.

All teams dolls can be viewed here:

Each doll will take a journey...starting and ending in the same place with a whole new look and story.
A journal will travel with each doll that will tell the story from the start,
middle, and the end of the dolls adventure.

ROUND ONE

Felicity Haversham (above) By Jasmoon Butterfly
meets Apeironia..
of papillon bleu uk by Patricia (below)

My first doll from Patricia arrived with no limbs,
so I had to help make her mobile, in more ways than one :0)

The pair soon became great friends :0)

The Journal

Apeironia's eyes widened as she entered the gates of the Rookery.
'What a beautiful, quiet distraction from the world'
Apeironia beamed.
There were mini waterfalls, tall trees, flowers releasing
sweet aromas...and a wishing well!
'Lets make a wish Apeironia'

Jasmoon handed Apeironia a coin,
both closed their eyes and gently tossed the coins into the well.
Upon making the wish, Apeironia felt herself lifting ever so lightly from the ground.
She opened her eyes, and saw Jasmoon smile,
'Take care Apeironia, they will take time to get use to.'

Apeironia felt a slight flutter as
she giggled upon realising her wish had come true immediately...
her dream of wings!

'OOoo Jasmoon how am I to travel to my
next destination?
Shall I fly?'

'I think perhaps we can find a cage, only as a place for you to protect your wings,
I think you may need some skill to navigate on a journey so far'

'What a wonderful idea, I can pick up some things to decorate it, maybe make create a mobile home ...
add some things to remind me of my travels?'

'Sounds great, lets collect a few bits for you to take with you'

Apeironia & Jasmoon enjoyed the rest of day at the Rookery,
holding hands so that Apeironia
did not flutter about too much.

How quickly time passed,
Apeironia climbed into the cage that Jasmoon got for her,
'I will miss you dearly my friend,
please say hi to Felicity when she returns .
Thank you for enabling my mobility & for showing me the well of wishes....
I am almost speechless, take care my friend,
please remember to write'
Jasmoon smiled, 'Of course I will,
your magic will always hold a special place in my heart my friend'

Both waved eachother goodbye...
'I wonder what awaits me on my new travel ?'
Beamed Apeironia.

It was extremely enjoyable and a pleasure to work on Patricia's doll,

Paper clay was used for limbs/wire.

I will follow her progress eagerly :0)

Jasmoon Butterfly Introducing:

Miss Felicity Haversham

(wip - My first Clay cage doll....OOOooo! )

Felicity enjoys her strolls through the meadows,
of her rural home town - Dittisham, especially Bozomzeal, a hill south of the village.
Dittisham is a quaint village just outside of Dartmouth, Devon, UK
The manor in which Felicity lived sat upon her beloved Bozomzeal.

The gowns Felicity wore were simple yet elegant.
They were a mixture of silk, linen, muslin & lace.
The enchanted flowers of the meadow graced her gown with tantalizing aromas.
Each offering the promise of a dream...
Felicity often danced with the butterflies& at times would stay perfectly still
to permit the butterflies to rest upon her.
The dappled sunlight echoed through their wings as they once again danced...

This particular morning was different,
Felicity had received a letter from a most dear friend,
Miss Sarah Wallis.
The letter was actually an invitation to a ball to celebrate her friends recent engagement.
Well of course Felicity had replied hence,
and the spring in her step echoed her excitement of returning to London.

It had been many years since Felicity visited her town of birth,
and the dreams of childhood followed her still....

'How exciting!' Felicity cried to the dancing butterflies,
'But how I will miss you' She sighed....

The date had arrived, April 1st
& once settled upon the coach for London,Felicity opened up her book,
there lay the rose petals she had picked last summer from her bedroom window...
Never had she dreamed the following year could hold suchwonder and adversaty,
'I wonder.......' Felicity paused,
' What adventures await me?'

I am very excited and look forward to joining & sharing with all the TDP artists :0)
See you there...
