Dolls coming along...

Ok the heads are stitched, stuffed and decorated.
Next I needed to design some hands with articulated fingers and thumb! :0)

Here is what I came up with....

I am very pleased with how my first EVER pair of cloth hands turned out!
Whoop! Whoop!

I used this great site as a ref: HERE

Next to design the body :0)

A rag doll's story by Tracey-anne

A rag doll

Today I have been working on making a new design doll.
This is cloth, no clay! Wow :0)
I designed the head first, then cut & sew the pattern, they still require a body.

I played with sketching on cloth, I still have a long way to go but I am happy with the idea of this style.

I would love to incorporate embroidery but as I have sewn them I will have to make some more to try this.

Inspired!

Hi Everyone :0)

Yesterday I sat on the laptop playing around with images in picmonkey!
Great fun :0)

Then I designed a large cloth head pattern.

I usually work more in clay, folk art dolls but  upon admiring a doll designer
- Christy Kane it got my juices flowing and wanting to create a different style of doll!!
