New dolls in progress!

Wow its been a busy few weeks with half term and household stuff,
but for the past two days I found the time to create four new dolls...yay!
Below are the clay dolls I am working on at present.

One of the most therapeutic moments for me is the sanding of dolls,
gentle music playing, calming set of movements, ah bliss!  :0)

I also have four other dolls in progress too
...not including the painted cloth doll.
Hopefully all eight will be completed by Monday.
The cloth doll still requires a body, hair and clothing.
I can work more on her once the others are completed
I am really excited about her, my painted, cloth doll experiment !Tee hee..
Well more on her later.

Oh and I managed to find the most beautiful box for
the apothecary blog party in September!
Here is a quick glimpse ;0)

Recipe incense Midsummer Night's Dream

Midsummer Night's Dream,
a self-burning dreaming blend with a fairy and Midsummer theme.

2 Tbsp   Sandalwood

2 tsp    Lavender

2 tsp    Mugwort

2 tsp    Chamomile

1 tsp    Thyme

1 tsp    Benzoin

pinch    Dittany of Crete

1/8 tsp  Guar Gum

This blend is useful when practicing any kind of dream magic, whether you seek answers for a question or prophetic dreams or desire to fare forth while sleeping. The formula contains herbs that open the gates of dream as well as those that have sedative properties. In addition many of the ingredients are classically associated with Midsummer and the Fey.

Finely powder all ingredients, and then add just enough warm water to give the blend a consistency reminiscent of modeling clay. Then form into tall thin cones, the diameter of which should be no bigger than a pencil at the widest point. Also, tightly form the cone to avoid cracks. Cracks will get bigger as the cone dries and prevent the finished cone from burning. Allow them to dry in a cool environment and then enjoy.
